Award-winning Author and Publisher Known by many as Widad, Linda is a Muslim revert, the mother of three and grandmother of eight. Retired in 2000 from the Arizona Department of Public Safety with the rank of Sergeant, Widad is the owner-publisher of Muslim Writers Publishing, a traditional Muslim publishing house.

The Association of Muslim Women in America, Inc. (AMWA) selected Widad to receive the 2005 Excellence in Media, Literary Arts award based on her work in the literary arts as author of the children’s book series, Islamic Rose.
