Book Description
A writer has three basic methods to choose from for publishing: traditional, subsidy, and self-publishing. The Muslim writer has one additional choice to make first: publish in the non-Muslim book industry or publish in the Muslim book industry. The choice should be based on the writer’s Marketing Plan. How an author markets and promotes his/her published book should also be based on the written Marketing Plan
A Muslim’s Guide to Publishing and Marketing describes in detail the three publishing methods used in both book industries, provides detailed information about book production, printing, distribution, fulfillment, and marketing strategies for both book industries. The book includes a helpful Resources Section and a Glossary of common terms used in the publishing industry. A special feature is the many helpful sample documents provided to not only tell you how to do publishing and marketing tasks but show you as well. Some of the sample documents include: a Marketing Plan Outline, Book Proposal, Press Release, and Book Review Query form.
The author of A Guide to Publishing and Marketing has published traditionally, subsidy and self-published and her Award Winning Islamic Rose Books series is also published in the Indonesian language. She is the owner and publisher of Muslim Writers Publishing.
